The Complete PETG Guide

A PETG project guide covering grade choice, printing preparation, appearance approval and purchase requirements.

01

Choose the grade for the part

Begin with the intended part and operating conditions. Review the selected PETG grade rather than assuming every variant has the same finish, preparation or application scope. Identify the important appearance, fit and functional checks before choosing a sample.

02

Prepare the actual printing setup

Record the printer, nozzle, build surface and slicer profile. Follow applicable grade and equipment guidance for preparation, storage and printing. This guide does not substitute for a grade-specific technical data sheet or set universal processing temperatures.

03

Evaluate a representative print

Use a part that shows the surfaces and features you intend to approve. Keep the profile and geometry consistent while comparing colors or finishes. Record unsuccessful as well as successful trials so the selected combination can be repeated.

04

Separate appearance from performance

Compare color and finish under agreed lighting, using the intended geometry where possible. A photograph is an appearance reference; it is not proof of strength, service temperature or other measured properties. Request applicable documents and agree required tests for the grade.

05

Connect the result to your purchase

Keep the approved grade, color reference, printer/profile and sample with the proposed quantity, unit, spool and packaging. Confirm document scope and unresolved specifications in the quotation before treating the range as approved for repeat purchasing.
