Launching a branded filament range with custom labels and packaging
FormHaus 3D started with 1.75 mm PLA Matte and PETG in six core colors. The first order was 1,200 spools, including three custom colors developed from the brand's own samples. NOVTAU also supplied private-label spool labels, branded boxes, and vacuum-sealed packaging with desiccant for shipping and storage.
The challenge
The brand's previous supplier had visible color differences between batches, especially in darker shades. Some cartons arrived with filament that had picked up moisture in transit, which caused poor first layers and extra support requests from FormHaus 3D's own customers. Lead times often ran past six weeks, and custom colors needed a minimum order that was hard to justify for a new product line.
How NOVTAU helped
NOVTAU produced color samples for approval before the full run. Once the colors were confirmed, each spool was vacuum-sealed with desiccant and packed in the brand's own boxes. The three custom colors were made within the planned launch quantity, so the brand did not have to order more than it needed, and the first order shipped within the quoted private-label lead time.
Result
FormHaus 3D launched its range on schedule and placed two repeat orders in the first six months. Each reorder uses the same color references, complaints about wet filament have dropped, and the brand has added two more colors since launch.
